Irony of Deviled Eggs

“You know what? There is no Easter Bunny! Over there that’s just a guy in a suit!”
Watching Mallrats, making deviled eggs, and enjoying an uneventful morning.
My brother thinks making *deviled* eggs on Easter Sunday is sort of ironic.
Wicked Deviled Eggs
12 hard-boiled eggs, shells removed
? cup Miracle Whip
2 tablespoons prepared mustard
3 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
1 teaspoon curry powder
? teaspoon minced garlic
Cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to taste
Paprika
Half eggs lengthwise; remove yolks and mash with a fork. Stir in mayonnaise, mustard, relish, curry, garlic, salt and pepper. Mix until smooth. Stuff egg whites with yolk mixture. Sprinkle with paprika. Chill before serving for best results.

I didn’t make him for you

“He carries the Charles Atlas Seal of Approval” … and he didn’t even take lessons!
While these rules aren’t hard and fast, these are the guidelines I set for myself in my blog:
A. Capture the spirit of the moment and the little things in life that might otherwise be overlooked or under-remembered.
ii. Exaggeration is allowed and encouraged. Same with changing/omitting names/details to protect the innocent. The not-so-innocent… that’s another story.
3. Focus on Portland, my neighborhood, events, local businesses, personalities, and other Northwest-y stuff.

d. Provide support and publicity for local happenings, especially if it is for a good cause.
