My dad (the telecom guru) told me a funny story the other night about a job fair that he attended a while back.
Dad: So you’re looking to hire a telecommunications engineer?
Booth Lady: Yes! We need someone who has 15 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications.
Dad: You do realize that they only started offering degree programs in telecommunications two years ago, right? No one has graduated yet.
Booth Lady: My manager said that is what the requirements are, so that is what we are going to hire.
Dad: I wish you the best of luck with your search. You’re going to need it.
I wonder about stuff like this when I see some of the qualifications on job listings.
