I haven’t read your site in a while and I sure miss it and you. All your talk of food has made me very hungry, which is a probably since I am on a diet. Your neighborhood sounds wonderful and I know I would love to see it. Maybe it will work out for me to visit sometime soon, I’ll drag Kevin and Beth along.

If ya get me some green tomatoes I will fry them up. Since I don’t grow them myself finding some seems to be the most difficult part of making them.

I must agree on the fried chicken… Guess I’ll have to go somewhere else for good southern fried chicken… And, take note cooks of the world… It is NEVER a good thing to lessen the amount of cheese in a dish. Cheese makes ALL dishes better!

The mashed potatoes are the most “worth it” thing out there, IMHO. Still looking for another place that will fill my cravings for reasonably priced southern food, and hopefully someplace closer in than Woodstock.
Has anyone tried Russell Street BBQ yet?

The Delta doesn’t “work” for me, anymore – I agree they’ve taken a nosedive in quality. The last time we ordered fried chicken (thanks to a mama craving for it) we both spent the rest of the evening apologizing to our digestive system for the choice.
To put it delicately.
Still love those okra-and-tomatoes, though…high on the list of “things I miss most” from living in the south.
